SGM Christmas Giveaway Extravaganza 2013 ~ Day Four ~ Dreams of You

dreams of you items

Today, we are giving away something that we give away every week at Sufficient Grace Ministries, to families all over the world, but we hope to spread the word that this wonderful resource is available for parents grieving the loss of a baby or young child. Until recently, we covered the cost of the items and the shipping. Packages range in value from $25-$75 plus shipping costs often more than $10-17 per package in the US and $20-35 for international orders. We just recently asked parents to cover the cost of part of the shipping when ordering, but continue to send these beautiful items to families free of charge. Today, we are offering not only the items for FREE, as always, but also FREE shipping for parents who submit the order form (as long as you are a parent who has lost a baby, and have not already received items from SGM)

We are also giving away ONE Dreams of You package to anyone who would like to give the package as a gift to a family member or loved one, donate to a hospital in your baby’s name, or if you are a nurse, doula, or other caregiver for bereaved parents.

Packet includes: Dreams of You Memory Book, Comfort Bear, Walking With You resource booklet, Walking With You for Fathers, and A Gift of Time (an excellent resource for families facing a life-limiting diagnosis in pregnancy).

The Dreams of You Memory Book was created for mothers and families who have lost a baby. This book comes in an 8 by 11 ½ inch hardcover, antique leather bound-look binder format so it is easy to add or change the book to match a parent’s unique beliefs, tastes, and wishes. It includes places for parents to journal the dreams they had for their baby, their journey of loss and healing, letters to baby, pages to record the baby’s statistics, memorial service, baptism, footprints, mementos, etc. Also included are inspirational poems and comforting scripture from the Bible, as well as the author’s personal story of loss, grief, hope and healing.

The beautiful, cream-colored, soft fleece Comfort Bears were created by Kathy Rutter in 2005 for grieving mothers to have something to hold to ease the ache of empty arms. Kathy created each one with a grandmother’s love and prayers. After a valiant battle with cancer, Kathy went home to heaven in October of 2006. Today her legacy continues as the Helping Hands Ministry gathers to sew the bears, sending a grandmother’s love and prayers along with each one.

Packet includes: Dreams of You Memory Book, Comfort Bear, Walking With You resource booklet, Walking With You for Fathers, and A Gift of Time.

  1. Stephanie says:

I would like to win the 20 weeks and above package. I already have one myself but i would like to donate it in memory of my daughter, Faith and donate it to the hospital that took care of her while she lived.

  2. I would love to win the package above and donate it to a children’s hospital in memory of the daughter I lost.

  3. Nneka Hall says:

I’ve recently met a young woman who’s little angel shares a birthday with my angel, Annaya and Me! This will be her first holiday season as a mom and she is having a hard time. I would send the package to her as a way to celebrate her son.

    Thank you for doing this!

  4. I would like to enter for the under 20 weeks category. I’m currently in the funding process of becoming a bereavement doula, and have had 5 early losses, as well as a stillbirth. I’ve received the 20+ package, but would love the under 20 weeks package to use as a resource for future clients

  5. Summer Hepler says:

I would LOVE to receive the “Dreams of You” package to use in my practice…I am an OB nurse, as well as an independent RTS Bereavement Coordinator. I work in small town Appalachia, where these packages could make such a difference in the healing of these bereaved families. Unfortunately, these amazing gifts are the only things filling the arms of my patients…and even if I don’t get one, I want to thank you for the blessed work you do for all these families across the nation. It matters not really who gets it, because it will undoubtedly touch lives wherever it goes…xoxo

  6. DEBRA WATERS says:

I would like to enter to win 20 weeks and above. I am a nurse and I have a granddaughter who is an angel in heaven. The hospital I work at was beyond wonderful helping my daughter and our family thru that difficult time. I would donate to the hospital in memory of Miranda Marie Decker born asleep at 32 weeks to be given to the next family going thru this experience with the hope that this could generate a friendship and support for both my daughter and this family.

  7. If I won this, I would like to donate the over 20 weeks package in my son’s memory to the hospital where Noah was born & spent his life as the hospital had no resources when I had him and I doubt they still have much.

  8. michelle delp says:

I am a newly certified Birth and Bereavement Doula. I would use this for a loss family.

  9. I would donate this package to the MFM office that diagnosed our angel’s condition for another family.

  10. I would donate the other package to my local hospital. I miscarried a baby in July 2010 as well.
